The Pick

Hello guitarist,


I have a short information source for you now. I wanna talk to you 
about the pick, also known as plectrum. It's a basic guitar accessories and alot of you know what it is, but it is very important
 to know some facts about the pick. 
A pick is a small, mostly plastic, piece with you can play the guitar. 
People like to use it when they play chords.


The pick is normally used for strumming and fast solo's. 
The pick is a usefull way for rock to play faster and cleaner.
People can reach 320 bpm with the pick.

Steel or Nylon strings?

Hey!

I would like to talk to you about choosing your strings. Would you choose steel or either nylon?
It's important to choose on your one and know what you think, is the best choice. Lets start with steel strings.
Most people think that steel strings are much better then nylon strings. It really depends on the person. Some people more like to hear nylon strings and others steel. But it's true that steel strings have a more clear sound, but people believe that nylon strings are easier to play. That's right, nylon strings are stiffer so easier to play. Normally nylon strings are used for classic guitar.

Open D Tuning

Hey!

I wanna share some knowledge about the open D tuning with you guys.
First the tuning. You need your guitar tuned like this:
D-A-D-F#-A-D. If you wanna do it by ear, then I will learn you how.
First put your E string into an D. Now change the G into an F#, play the F# on the D snare ( 4e fret ) and listen carefully if you G string now is an F#. Now do the same with your B string. Play the A on the F# string ( 3e fret), and listen if it becomes an A. And finally your E string into an D, same as your low E string. Now that you have tuned your guitar will I tell some about playing with it. On my opion it is a real nice tuning. very beatiful if you use it well. These are the chords I like the most:

X-0-11-10-12-0
X-0-11-10-12-12
X-0-9-8-9-0
X-0-9-8-9-9
X-X-0-3-4-2
X-7-7-5-0-7
7-0-7-7-5-0

You have to find out the best way to play them by yourself.
With this tuning its important to discover a melody on your own.
I think you know enough to have a basic for playing.

Fingerstyle guitar

Hey all!

How you doing today?
I just wanna talk to you about fingerstyle guitar. Fingerstyle is normally played with the acoustic Guitar. Fingerstyle is all about your fingers. The bass and melody at the same time, it's called fingerpicking. There are many patterns for fingerpicking. I really like this kind of musicstyle. Most of the time it is only the guitar that plays. You don't really need a band behind you. Many people did play fingerstyle. Have you ever heard of Andy Mckee ? I think he is the best fingerstyle guitarist in the world. He play really beautiful music. The best way to play fingerstyle and make the best sound of it, is to buy a steelstring guitar. This gives the guitar a bit louder and more clear. I hope this was a bit helpfull for you!

A little knowledge

Dear Readers!

As you might know, I am working on a website. Its gonna be a guitar-website where im gonna introduce you to my guitar-skills. I'll keep you up to date. Its a lot of work and takes a long time and its a lot of copy and pasting. At the moment, I finally completed my lay-out. For those how dont know what a lay out is, I shall explain it. A lay-out is the base for the website. Like the colors and the topics. Now can i move on with my content. This shall take me much more time than the lay-out. A lot of things should be remade. More information will come later, and more specific stuff.
